Nokia 6010 review from Canada

So far, nothing. Battery cover does seem to be quite flimsy though.

I got a Virgin Mobile Canada 6015i as a Christmas gift. Online registration was easy, took about 5 minutes after I completed the online registration before my phone was activated, and another 15 or so before my kickback was added to my account.

The screen on the 6015i is small, kinda dark and low resolution, but neither of those are bad enough to make you not want to use the phone.

The ringers are quite loud on the standard setting of 4, raising it to 5 makes a small improvement in the volume, however the standard volume setting is more than adequate and may make for embarrassing situations if you forget to put the phone on the silent setting if you're in a restaurant or similar place.

The vibration feature is quite strong, much more so than my brother's Audiovox 8910.

I find the speech volume to be a bit on the low side. I've had the phone less than 24 hours so there might be a way to increase the volume, but I haven't found it yet.

The single built-in game, Bowling, is short and simple, but looks decent on the 6015i's screen, best score I've got so far is a 164.

When I opened the phone, the battery was at about 50% charge, the charge level dropped to the warning level rather quickly so I plugged the wall charger in. The phone reported it was at full charge in roughly an hour.

I find text messaging to be quite easy on this phone, but I can't seem to find how to get punctuation marks to appear. I actually had it once, but I can't remember what buttons I pressed to get there. I also found out that I have to enter the whole 9 digits of the phone number I was sending a message to.

There's also a send to email function that I haven't tried out yet.

So far, I'm pleased with the phone. I expect I'll discover more functions of the phone as I get experienced with it.
