The phone intermittently stops receiving calls or messages. You only find out when somebody tells you! The workaround is to switch off and back on again.

It occasionally hangs up completely, requiring the battery to be removed and refitted.

The phone is a standard Symbian phone based on the Nokia Series 60 smartphones. There are really no surprises here, the operation is more or less identical to the equivalent Nokias. The main difference is the inclusion of T9 text predict rather than the Nokia version.

I bought (or rather got free) this phone for the smartphone features and the bluetooth connectivity to my Apple Mac. This works as advertised, synchronising the address book and my appointments.

The tendency to lock up or just sulk without any warning is annoying. My feeling is that it is particularly prone to packing up when it is faced with low signal strength.

The phone is generally very slow. It's not unacceptably slow, just slower than I would like. For example, it takes about 5 seconds to open a text message.

The camera is rubbish - even for a phone! The mp3 player works and you can easily add a memory expansion card. It's a shame they put a tiny headphone adaptor on it, and getting the cover off the headphone socket is a challenge!

For a smartphone, the keyboard is fiddly and hard to see.

Generally it is what it is - a cheap alternative to some of the more exotic Symbian devices. It works, but only just. Next time I will dig into my pockets and get something better!
