Nokia 7610 review from United Kingdom
"A good solid phone with lots of functions"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
Absolutely nothing, the phone has been brilliantly reliable.
General comments?
I brought this phone to replace my notoriously unreliable Samsung V200. I wanted a phone with lots of functions, plus good reliability and battery life. The Samsung sgh-e800 is also in the same class as the Nokia and it's got some more functions, but after my last experience with Samsung, I thought I'd go with a more reliable manufacturer.
I'm a plumber and my phones tend to get a hard life with splashes and knocks, but this one's survived well so far (touch wood).
As standard this phone's features are brilliant with a 10 minute video camera, blue-tooth, 64mb mini memory card, colour wap, and easy to use pc link software that lets you use mp3/wma audio files as apposed to the mmf format of my last phone.
The main benefit of this phone is the ability to upgrade it. You can buy larger memory cards up 512mb. Also the software is good - I've downloaded a 4 language translator on mine for free.
Blue-tooth lets you add new hardware. I'm going to add a GPS navigation system to mine, which costs £140 and has all the latest functions such as 3d/2d graphics, post code finder and voice commands. A car GPS system would cost at least £300!
The only bad thing about this phone is the layout of the keypad. I find the ergonomics very comfortable, but other people find it hard to use (personal taste really).
