Audiovox CDM-8615 review from Canada

I just got this phone a couple of weeks ago. So far, it's been great. No problems.

The battery life could be better. When you're using the phone, whether it's for making calls, playing games, or anything like that, it's easy to use up a full charge within 8 or 9 hours.

The ringtones and images that you download are limited to what Virgin puts on their VXL site.

It's just the right size. Small enough to fit into a small space, but flips open wide enough that it reaches between your ear and mouth.

This phone looks cool, and looks new. Nobody will think you're out of date with it.

The phone has a monochrome screen on the outside that displays the date, time, battery life, and call display when you're receiving a call; as well as a very nice 128x160 pixel color screen that you see when you flip it open.

The sound quality is VERY good. When I phone people, they can't even tell I'm on a cell phone, and they sound great to me as well.

Voice dial capability, which works really well, and it always recognizes what I'm saying, even if I've got a cold.

Great reception.

You can download a lot of different ringtones (for a fee).

You can download images (for a fee), and set one for startup, one for background, and one for shutdown.

This is not a camera phone, and you can't send pictures, but anyone with a camera phone that supports picture messaging can send you pictures, which you can set as the image for startup, background or shutdown.

The battery charges fully from empty in just over an hour.
