Sony Ericsson K750i review from Canada
"Great phone, but not without its faults"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
The joystick is very fussy and must be kept meticulously clean. Down and left often fail to respond to multiple attempts. Makes texting difficult.
The dust seal around the screen failed after the phone was dropped once; now a layer of dust is on the screen, which is frustrating in sunlight.
General comments?
Love the cam, which is great for all but low-light shots. Makes it easy to take spontaneous pics. Unfortunately, the video recording quality is fairly poor, and not what you'd expect from such a capable camera.
The screen is of very nice quality and is bright, and images on it look crisp and clear. The factory screen is very scratch resistant. The memory stick cover on my phone has yellowed over time.
The battery is a trooper and saw me through a spontaneous 3-day trip with tons of picture taking and no charger. It charges in about 2 hours from dead flat.
The phone rings nice and loud, with either midi or MP3 ringtones. The speaker in the phone is excellent.
Voice/call quality is quite good and the reception can't be faulted.
The menus are fairly straightforward, but I agree the phone's OS would benefit from an overhaul. It's a nice looking OS, though.
I've been happy with the phone overall, but the joystick is killing the happiness for me. It's a pain in the extreme, especially if you text often, as I do.
