Motorola RAZR V3 review from Canada

We have two Razr V3's, and have found that they do not like to be dropped. Slippery little units, but once you get a good case on them they are OK. One has to think though, that technology put into a small slim phone with little protection, should be handled with care.

The owners/instruction manual is terrible. I was a newer cell phone owner (got the hand-me down phones from the kids), and found myself going to other user manuals to understand the functions etc.

Other phones of this quality provide a "flash" option in the camera.

Other than the above, the only other thing that I would have liked to have the option to do was to personalize the the front screen... so if anyone knows how to do that, it would be great.

I went through a number of phones in my 15 day contract time-frame, and came out with the RAZR V3. As a new user, although the instruction manual was poor, the phone was easy to figure out, and had a lot of ring/personal options to choose from.

I was lucky and got my phone for a decent price of under $50, although our first RAZR V3 was full price only in October 05.

I would highly recommend getting the optional warranty, if your provider offers it to you with an incentive to put it towards product/new phone, if you do not use the warranty in 3 years.
