Nokia 6230 review from Venezuela
"Best phone ever since my old 7100"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
Nothing wrong with it, excellent phone, worth every penny spent on it.
General comments?
I don't like that you cannot change the font color, if you set a navy blue wallpaper then you cannot see anything on the screen as the font always stays black. This was corrected on the 6230i, it seems to be no one at Nokia thought of it for the 6230.
The phone is easy to use if you're used to Nokia menus, lots of options, profiles, etc.
The speaker sound is clear if it is not set too loud.
Handsfree is excellent, clear and crisp.
Nokia Software for PC has some glitches, you have to be very patient with it, it's being constantly updated every couple of months.
Go straight and connect it to the PC via Bluetooth if you don't want to spend a while dealing with cables like DKU-5.
Support for MP3 tones is excellent, crisp and clear, no lockups while playing.
Camera has a good resolution, is very slow in night mode, you can capture video, nice for blaming people with it ;)
EDGE connection is fast enough to hold a video conference, but it depends on the operator's network performance.
