Sony Ericsson K700i review from Iceland

The charger socket broke a couple of months after I got the phone, it was repaired for free since the phone was still in warranty.

The joystick is constantly getting worse, if I want to move in any direction in the menu for example, it usually takes 2-4 tries. I've tried blowing out dust behind it with compressed air, but it doesn't seem to help.

The metal casing on the battery cover gets dented very easily.

The whole phone gets nicks and scratches quite easily.

The first 8 months or so the battery life used to last for about a week in full action, but now 6 months later it lasts for maybe 4 days.

The screen is very nice, big with fairly good resolution and sharp colors.

The joystick is awful, takes 2-4 tries to get to a direction in the menu. It was good the first months I had it though (I've had it for 14 months now).

The OS can be very sluggish, especially when browsing through pictures taken on the phone, you'll have to wait for nearly 20 seconds for one picture to load.

I have had no use for the IR function so I can't really comment on that.

I like the bluetooth feature, it has often come in handy.

The camera is quiet good, sharper than on some more expensive phones I've seen. It would be a nice feature though to be able to turn off the camera "click" sound. Although it's nothing like a camera click, just a loud annoying clapping sound.

The mirror on the back of the phone is completely useless. It's so small you can barely see anything in it.
