Nokia 6102 review from United States of America
"Good for a basic user"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
Battery life shorter than expected. I was told its due to working in cellular no-signal area. Phone increases power searching for signal and runs down sooner. I get about 3-3.5 days before dead battery. I now carry power supply with me.
I get strange signals on adjacent radio devices. kind of like a tone pattern. It's always the same whether in car or standing by TV. It happens about once an hour.
Phone gets frozen with message: Sevice Not Registered. I can shut off phone and it clears up. Other times the phone will freeze and requires removal of battery to fix.
This is early 6102 with wired headset. Connector is strange tip-on plug. Hard to attach and detach in dark or a hurry.
There is no external antenna connector.
Nokia accessories for older phones like 3360 don't fit. The headsets and power supplies to name a few. Have to buy new accessories.
Phone is not as small or rounded and stylish as Samsung, but feels much more solid.
General comments?
Phone is size is small and feels solid. I needed basic phone and this is great. Has more features than I need for now.
I got phone for free with two year service plan.
Internet is terrible, but it may be Cingular rather than phone.
Reception seems to be no worse than other phones.
