LG 2000 review from United States of America

After 6 months - stopped ringing, sent all calls to voicemail.

After 3 more months (and a new phone) - stopping making any kind of noise.

I got the LG C2000 only because it was free when I signed up with Cingular. I wanted a simple flip phone, I didn't really care if it had a camera or all that other garbage.

This phone worked just fine for about 6 months. Then all of a sudden it stopped ringing. When someone would call me, it went right to voicemail. Then if the left a message, I didn't get the message notification for about an hour. Same thing would happen with text messages. Cingular tried everything they could think of from their office and even had me go down to my local retailer and swap out the Sim Card... still didn't work.

They then sent me a new phone and all was well again.

About 3 months after that, the new phone (same exact model) stopped making noise. No key tones, wouldn't ring, nothing. If someone called me, it would light up and vibrate (if I had that feature on) but wouldn't ring.

Again, after logging hours on the phone with Cingular, they said they would send me a new phone. I told them I did NOT WANT ANOTHER C2000 because obviously there's something wrong with them. In its place, they sent me the LG CG225. It's very similar to the C2000, but it's black and some of the features are different. For example, it doesn't give you the option of having a "List" menu, only "Icons". Oh well... at least this one works just like it should ALL THE TIME.
