Ericsson T28 review from United States of America
"A great phone for its time, maybe even today"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
Slight peeling of battery backing -- not a big deal, though.
General comments?
This was the T28WORLD model (tri-band).
Was a great phone for the time (maybe even now, as long as you don't care about creeping-feature-itis add-ons (ringtones, cameras, Java, music playback, I'm looking at all of you) ).
Just as thin as the new-fangled Motorola RAZR that everyone oohs and ahhs over now, but back in 1999 (earlier, actually, as my friends had the same one in 1998). It was so thin, I actually had people ask me if the phone was real.
Had tetris and solitaire; I still wish my more "modern" phone came with either one, let alone both.
Manufacturer handsfree worked like a charm with no annoying holding-the-cord-across-your-mouth like I used to see other people doing.
Could take a much larger battery for super-extended life (or emergency backup), as long as you didn't mind ruining the thinness of the phone.
