Nokia 6265i review from United States of America
"Besides for its size, it's just a few small steps from an excellent phone"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
The screen is a scratch machine, there is absolutely nothing to protect it.
It has a very chinese plastic feel to it.
This phone is huge. I mean huge like an aircraft carrier. Do not buy this phone until you have felt it and carried it in your pocket for a few minutes. It double as thick as our standard phone these days.
It is extremely slow loading files of the memory card I purchased for it. The mp3 player, I kid you not, will take as much as five minutes just to load the music (once it's loaded, it runs smoothly).
The mp3 player interface is anciently pathetic. You cannot search or sort files, you just get one long list. I have a 2gb card with about 500 songs loaded on it, there is have no way of viewing songs by album, artists etc. For all practical purposes it's an iPod Shuffle with a screen.
The headphone jack on the side is not built properly. Because it's a smaller size, you need an adapter to plug in normal headphones, however, I've tried quite a few adapters, and none of them fit properly. They all work, but are very loose and fall out VERY easily. I imagine it's the jack on the phone, and not five different adapters that's the problem.
The time and date are VERY hard to see, there's nothing you can do about the tiny clock in the corner. The date, at least you can change the color (along with all of the phones colors) however it's even smaller then the clock, and impossible for me to see without putting the phone to my face.
The alarm will only sound for one minute at a time, then will snooze for a minimum of 2 minutes. Although you can set a mp3 song to wake up to, at least for me it's kinda useless if it only goes for one minute (I can't wake up from that)
General comments?
The screen has incredible quality. Pictures look very nice on the display.
Battery life is very decent.
I've never not had service, but on the other hand, I've NEVER had more than 3 bars. It doesn't really matter, because the phone works perfectly even with one bar. Obviously reception also has a lot to do with your carrier.
Camera is also great. The flash is surprisingly bright (and blinding).
Interface is pretty decent and the menu looks nice.
The speaker phone is very mediocre.
