LG CU500 review from United States of America
"Great, until you use it"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
I returned the day after I bought it.
The battery life was appalling, and it overheated after a ten minute call.
General comments?
It has a strong feature set, but each feature has flaws.
It has 3G capability, but is reluctant to fall back to 2.5G coverage. The music player is good, but nowhere in the manual does it indicate that 2GB microSD cards cannot be used.
The camera has a good resolution, but is hopeless in low light.
Java applications cannot be installed via Bluetooth.
There is no setting to disable the external buttons.
The interface is very limited for such an advanced phone, and is very confusing. There is no setting to permanently enable applications to access the Internet, making GMail, Opera Mini, and Google Maps near-unusable.
