Motorola RAZR V3 review from United States of America
"Stylish and lots of fun toys, but calling functionality suffers somewhat"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
The small rubber feet on the clamshell have fallen out.
The phone sometimes (very rarely) shuts off when the clamshell closes.
Battery life is somewhat unimpressive.
General comments?
Reception isn't really the best with this phone outside of the city. I know this has more to do with the phone than the service provider, because I've owned cheaper phones, which had much stronger reception on the same network.
The battery life is somewhat unimpressive.
The screen is vibrant and very easy to read. It makes web browsing and time-waster games enjoyable on such a small platform.
Java applications are great. It's nice to have a fairly authentic Tetris, World Poker Tour poker, billiards, and other games available to occupy yourself when waiting. Much more fun than the games that are built-in to most phones.
Web browsing is actually fairly fast, even with images.
Awesome keypad design.
Unimpressive camera/video component. It's excessively grainy and the video is choppy. Luckily, I don't use this function, so it doesn't bother me.
Solid overall. It's got a quality build and it's actually fairly durable, having been dropped once or twice. Sadly, though, it does seem overpriced. It's great for style, but in terms of frequent calling, I'd probably rather have something else.
