Nokia E65 review from Australia
"More features than you can poke a stick at"
What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?
- Screen and its surrounding silver edge are easily scratched.
- Wi-Fi is unreliable, and often it simply will not connect to my wireless network.
- A couple of times it has just locked up and had to be restarted.
General comments?
I was originally going to get the Nokia N73, I had my eye on it for ages... when I went to get it I saw the E65 and just thought "it looks cool... I want it", so I made a split second decision and got the phone.
At first I loved it, so many useful (and just as many useless) features, a brilliantly smooth slide action, beautiful screen and smooth looks.
But then... I took a photo. The 2 mega-pixel camera sounds adequate enough to take some very decent shots... but if not in perfect lighting conditions (and I mean absolutely perfect) the pictures are tinged green and look bad.
I use the sepia or black/white modes for many of my pictures because they both look a lot better than the colour mode.
Yes, the phone has some brilliant features, like the built-in Wireless, and the multitasking capability is just wonderful.
Then there are some that are just useless (or perhaps just for me as I am a young student, not a business man) such as the Conference Call option and the Team Suite application (I don't even know what that does).
The Symbian OS is not intuitive, but it is functional at times. Yes, it takes a lot of getting used to if you are a first time Symbian user - as I was.
