T-Mobile Sidekick 3 review from United States of America

"Good phone for web/texting; so so reception though"

What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?

Well, the headphone/handsfree jack never really worked correctly. The handsfree headset (with both earbuds) only worked in one ear, so I never used it. Also I bought a headphone adapter from Radioshack, so I can fit standard headphones into the phone and that didn't work at all. I returned the adapter like 10 minutes later. I guess this problem could be solved with bluetooth headphones/headset.

General comments?

I upgrade from my Sidekick 2 to the SDK 3 and overall I still like it. It can be VERY quirky because you have to swivel the screen to input a phone number not in your address book, then close it if you don't want the screen out to talk on it. I'm used to it though.

The Internet browser is a little better than dial-up, but I still find it very convenient.

The email through tmail is great and fast, and the ease of setting up my main email address from inbox.com's email was very easy.

Sidekick data plans (for the Internet and unlimited texting/IMs) are the cheapest around. Even for prepaid.

The keyboard is nice, although I miss the rubbery feel of the sidekick 2.

No alarm clock built in; you have to buy that from the download catalog along with games/backgrounds/apps/ringtones. Games play well on device.

My issues with this phone are the lack of complete bluetooth. It is a watered down headset only bluetooth.

Danger web browser. I couldn't even get Opera mini (browser) on it.

Can't send video (no video available) or picture messages via text. Only through your email.

The battery life; it sucks. Fully charged if you don't use it, you still will have to charge it again after 2 days.
