Mitac Mio A702 review from Australia

"Don't buy this one if you are in a hurry"

What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?

The screen is *hopeless* in daylight.

Everyone says that they can't hear no matter where I am. Even my recording of my own voice-mail sounds ordinary, even when I am standing still with full signal strength.

The operating system, Windows Mobile 5.0, sucks. Or maybe it's just the processor. Lots of lag between the selection and activation of any program or feature. Sloooooow.

General comments?

The phone was relatively simple to learn, although it's slow to use. I am a fast person and this doesn't keep up with me. It's useless in daylight because you can't read the screen.

The GPS is good and works a treat with Tom Tom loaded. In fact I would say that this feature is probably the best part of the phone.

I will sell it soon as possible.

This phone has been a negative learning experience for me.
