I have been plagued with various problems with Motorola phones. It started with my V220s. The phone would shut off on its own, not ring, and the screen would quit working. I replaced the phone 5 times, then was upgraded so they said to the V551.
This had even worse poor reception and poor voice quality. The outside button changes the phone to silent, and the phone won't notify me of missed calls until I call someone else.
The volume on high and I can't hear anyone, but then all of the sudden my ear drum is blown out, and now when I close the cover, my phone shuts off.
This is my third one and there is no relief in sight. You've been warned - Motorola would have to take me hostage and hold a gun to my head before I would ever buy a Motorola phone again.
The music ringtones are nice and the camera is OK, but its all window dressing if you can't talk on the phone.
