Nokia E71 review from Philippines

Although by not using any features like blue-tooth, WiFi, backlight etc, it may be possible to make the battery last for 5 days, I have never experienced more than 3 days battery life. This is a disappointment.

It is a little slow, so could use a faster on-board processor.

When viewing the pictures you have taken in the 'Album', all images found anywhere on the phone, including on the SD card are included. This means that even gif's and png files, which were cached as you browsed the Internet, are displayed. This is infuriating, since most web pages include many tiny image files.

The GPS software, which you really need in order to use the GPS, is Ovi Maps and it only has a trial period. After that, the GPS is pretty useless unless you buy software for it (which is prohibitively expensive).

It's nice to be able to text on a full keyboard, using only one hand. This is very easy to do with the Nokia E71.

The speaker is nice and loud too when playing music.

It's a shame that you need the headphones connected to use the FM radio. This is for use as an antenna. I wish there was an alternative solution.

Maximum SD card size is 8GB, and the phone comes with a 2GB card. 16GB would be better, but is available in the E72 not the E71.

Can't charge it using the USB cable (unlike the E72).
