"PDA in a mobile phone!"

What things have gone wrong with the mobile phone?

Nothing so far.

General comments?

Nokia N70.

Pros:

The phone wasn't the quickest or easiest to first get to grips with, however once familiar with it and have it personalised, it is simple.

The 2 mega-pixel camera offers excellent photos and videos.

The software supplied on the phone is second to none, with applications to allow Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint files to be used and read.

The phone build is of a very high standard, right down to the last detail.

The large screen makes the phone ideal for use as a sat-nav device using TomTom Mobile software or similar.

Negs:

Sometimes the phone can seem a little slow when doing basic tasks like opening a text message, or browsing through menus.

The size of the screen (which is great) makes it likely to get scratched if no protective sleeve is used.

I've only had this phone now for a couple of months, but am very happy with it - the capability of it makes it one that I may not want to change in the next few years, which means that after the initial 12 months I could transfer to a sim-only contract reducing the bills substantially.

I would highly recommend this phone to everyone.

I have had my N70 for about 2 months as well and agree with the review. It can be a bit slow at times entering menu's, but acceptable - and the features are excellent, including the camera which is great.

One of the reasons I went for the phone was for TomTom sat-nav, and I've found this unrealiable. It loses signal to the GPS device (although in bluetooth it is still paired), and a reboot of the phone will recover the connection (and continues from where you left off), but this is a pain. There are loads of suggestions on forums, but unless you upgrade the phone software and disable tomtom features, most seem to experience problems.

Thanks.

The N73 is the best phone I've owned so far, last one was a 3230.

The camera quality is excellent, both on film and stills. The photo's are 3.2 megapixel, excellent when viewed on computer screen, and it's got a flash that works well.

The film camera is great, it uses MP4 and the quality is very easy to watch, not that jerky at all, great for stuff like YouTube. And it's ready in a flash with its flip back lens cover.

Has front cam for video calls, good quality music player with nice loud speaker. It can take memory cards for 100's of songs. Comes with life blog so video and songs are easily transfered from the phone to a PC. Has all the usual online stuff, but I don't use that personally.

By far the best feature of this phone though is the 3.2 megapixel camera, the photo's are amazing for a phone.
