All of the keys on the keypad are cracked vertically in the middle. They are made of very thin plastic.
Good slider phone, overall, and it's nice and small.
No 3G, but mobile Internet works great, and it has Java support, meaning Opera and Gmail applications work.
The gold/green colour is cool, and the display is really excellent.
Poor build quality.
Hey. The Sony Ericsson s500i with the keypad cracking is a manufacturing fault in this model, and I'm just still surprised that Sony Ericsson has not recalled this phone. However don't be put off Sony Ericsson due to the key cracking; there are better Sony Ericsson phones out there. Try the classic k800i; I've got one and it's awesome; much better than the s500i.
