As for all of you, I love my Razr V3. It has great reception and speaker phone. Plus I got it for free, and I got a free headset. Yeah, it's fragile, but you can buy protective face plates and screen covers for that.
Great little phone, until it dies. I had a lot of dropped calls, but overall, the phone performed well.
Bought it in January 2007; it's September now, and the screen just died. It's been off for 3 days now, getting ready to head up to the store to get a replacement. Kinda funny, talked a buddy at work into getting the RAZR, he went through 4 in 2 weeks. It would turn on and off randomly, it would ring, and no one would be on the phone.
Horrible phone. Charge all night and the battery dies by noon. Horrible reception even though Sprint claims perfect reception in my area. Never ever again.
I also had one of these too. I was tired of having to replace the little glass cover (on the very front of phone) every time it was dropped! Had to replace the cover three times and $10 each time! These lenses should be plastic, NOT glass!
Also, I was NEVER able to figure out how to use the MP3 player on phone! I had the model of RAZR that has the blue Motorola Logo LIGHT on very front. It was a burgundy color. I had the 1.2mp camera, Thus it was the more expensive model of the RAZR V3 flip phone.
I decided to sell it on ebay.com before I have to buy another glass cover!!
As for myself, I'm 37 years old, I decided I don't need any kind of fancy phones. I decided to go with a basic phone.
You can turn the speakerphone on/off by pressing & holding the small silver button on the left top side.
I received a RAZR as a gift from my dad. I loved it! Stylish, reliable, in other words, cool! I hacked, unlocked, added games and ringtones to it and it worked like a charm! VERY randomly it freezed/rebooted, but I lived with that... until my last drop broke the screen :(
Wife's phone nearly 1 year old; she has the Motorola Verizon Razr model V3 I think.
Microphone went dead 11 months into contract. Hope they either fix it or give her a new one for free. She can hear others speaking fine, it's just that no one can hear her speaking into the phone. This is our first time trying Motorola phones ; I am NOT impressed. I have a Samsung unit now & have had 2 Nokia's prior to now. I like my phones able to use without UNFOLDING them. She has always opted for the clamshells. Its the clamshells that have had ALL the problems in our household. :>)
